  5.  1. Fixed modem bugs:
  6.  --------------------
  7.     1) Improper remote configuration:
  8.        The local modem can not read or write the remote modem's profile on
  9.        connection.
  10.        (Note: Remote configuration is not inter-operable between an Elite
  11.        2864 and a U-1496 series modem. The Elite 2864 has more S-registers
  12.        and some S-registers have different meaning.)
  13.     2) AT&T6 (initiate remote digital loopback) does not work.
  14.     3) Fail to recognize the dial tone of some PABXs:
  15.        During dialing, the modem reports "NO DIALTONE" when the dial tone
  16.        is not a continuous signal (with ON/OFF cadence).
  17.     4) Incorrect LED indication of dialing, handshaking and retrain:
  18.        The V32b LED does not flash on and off for 1/2 second each to indicate
  19.        that the modem is dialing. Neither do the V34 and V32b LEDs flash
  20.        on and off for 1/2 second each to indicate that the modem is in
  21.        handshaking or retrain.
  22.     5) "ATM3" does not work:
  23.        With the "ATM3" command, the dialing tone is still heard from speaker.
  24.     6) Type 1 security function does not work (the *G1 and *G2 commands).
  25.     7) Does not support up to 50 passwords in security function:
  26.        For example, in *G4 setting, the modem is not able to detect any
  27.        password at location from #10 to #49.
  28.     8) Unable to recognize ring signal on some bad local loop lines.
  29.     9) Incorrect repeat dialing function:
  30.        When bit0 of S38 is set, the modem will not dial the same number again
  31.        while the modem reports "BUSY" after dialing.
  32.    10) Incorrect cyclic dialing:
  33.        When bit3 of S44 is set, the modem will not dial the second number
  34.        while the modem reports "BUSY" after dialing.

  36.  2. Fixed fax bug:
  37.  -----------------
  38.     1) Incorrect LED indicator:
  39.        When "AT+FCLASS=6" command is entered, the V34 LED turns off in
  40.        multi-auto mode (AT&N0).

  42.  3. Fixed voice bug:
  43.  -------------------
  44.     1) Sometimes the modem hangs after issuing <DLE><ETX> to finish playing
  45.        voice.

  47.  4. Add new features:
  48.  --------------------
  49.     1) Set the dial back timer S64 for security call back function:
  50.        (default=0, in seconds)
  51.        With level 2 security, the answer modem will disconnect the line if
  52.        the password has been found in its pre-stored acceptable list.
  53.        The answer modem will dial back the phone number corresponding to the
  54.        dial-in password, when the dial back timer (containded in S64) is
  55.        reached.
  56.        If the content of S64 violates the PTT regulation, the dial back timer
  57.        will be automatically set to the value defined in PTT regulation.
  58.        S64 can be used to control the dial-back waiting time to avoid dialing
  59.        back too quickly that the calling modem's line is still busy.
